Stripping life down to its essentials has a way of clarifying what truly matters. At the age of twelve, I was faced with the difficult decision to prioritize my physical health over continuing the art form I loved. Choosing to step away from dance became a two-year journey of healing and self-discovery—one that ultimately reaffirmed my passion and commitment to dance.

Originally from Ventura, California, I currently reside in Princeton, Indiana, where I serve as a Competition Director and Instructor at Jean Marie Dance Studio. I was raised in a household guided by a “try it at least once” philosophy, which encouraged curiosity, resilience, and exploration. While I experimented with gymnastics, cheer, and softball, dance consistently remained my central focus.

My early training included the opportunity to perform in the Disney Spirit Spectacular Parade in Orlando, Florida. I continued my formal training with Thrive Dance Center through 2020 before pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Dance Performance and Choreography at Middle Tennessee State University. During my collegiate years, I performed in Unveiled Productions’ concept video Psychosis, premiered in an informal ACDA concert piece titled In the Garden, and appeared in Catherine Bright’s thesis film Shower Piece. Beyond performance, I choreographed works for the Silverdale Arts dance program, interned with Millennium Dance Complex Nashville, and directed my capstone dance film, Recognizing Individuality. I have also served as a judge for Rising Star Talent Productions and Kids Artistic Revue dance competitions.

My artistic approach to movement is rooted in storytelling, often drawing from personal experience or broader societal themes that are more powerfully expressed through movement than words. I am trained in a variety of styles, with a strong affinity for modern dance influenced by Martha Graham and musical theatre inspired by Bob Fosse. Collaboration and improvisation play a central role in my creative process, allowing for authenticity, discovery, and organic expression.

As I continue pursuing a professional career in the dance industry and on Broadway, I am currently refining my path through the Business of Dance program under the mentorship of Menina Fortunato. My overarching goal is to inspire younger generations to pursue their passions with confidence and resilience. I strive to create choreography that both I and my dancers are proud to present. My upcoming project is a personal concept video examining the striking parallels between the lived experiences of women in the 1950s and those of today.

Delaney has worked with an array of choreographers, starting at the age of 8 when attending Tremaine Dance Convention and Competition where she trained with Tiffany MaherTony Bellissimo, Meghan Sanett, Laurie Johnson and more. She had the up close and personal chance to work with Brooklyn Jai and Derrick Schrader at her own studios summer intensive. During college various guest artists shared their concepts and invited Delaney into their pieces including; Becca Hoback, Windship Bishop, and Molly Pena. She also had the pleasure during this time to be apart of Melissa and Gio Gotay's concept film in Nashville, capturing the way spiritual beliefs can be your savior in times of mental insanity to help pull you out. Delaney took time while interning at Millenium Dance Complex Nashville to train with Mee Lim (formerly known as Jojo Lockhurst) who was featured in the Top 20 of SYTYCD Season 17 and Erik Cavanaugh featured in a viral iPhone billboard and films like Dolly Parton Christmas.
